  GURZENDA
  
    Andrew (Jake) J. Gurzenda, 73, Somerset RD 5, died Jan. 28, 1994, in
  Somerset Hospital.  Born in Somerset County, May 29, 1920, son of the late
  Stanley and Laura (Zeleski) Gurzenda.  Survived by his wife, Marie Slagle,
  one step son, Donald E. Williams, Glencoe, RD 1, two grandchildren: Donald
  E., and Deanna Williams.  Survived by a sister, Jean Giovanni and Ziggie
  both of Queens, N.J. and Chester of Quecreek and James, Pascagoula, Miss. 
  Veteran of WW II, served with U.S. Air Force.  A member of Somerset VFW
  Post 554.  Retired from Saxman Coal and Coke Company, Quecreek, and Briggs
  (Crane) Company.  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service
  will be conducted Monday 11 a.m. with Rev. Glenn E. Sadler officiating. 
  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
