  GURZENDA, Laura
  
  Laura Gurzenda, 90, Quecreek, died June 4, 1985, in Meyersdale Community
  Hospital.  Born Nov. 1, 1894, in Poland, daughter of the late Matthew and
  Karolina (Leszkiewicz) Zalewsky.  She was preceded in death by her husband,
  Stanley J., and seven brothers and sisters.  Survived by these children:
  Jennie DiGrovanni and Ziggie, both of Queens, N.Y.; Chester, Pittsburgh;
  James, Decutor, Miss.; and Andrew, Somerset; five grandchildren and 10
  great-grandchildren.  Member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Acosta. 
  Friends will be received 2-4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday in
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where wake service will be conducted at 7
  p.m. Friday.  Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. John's
  Church, Acosta, with the Rev. Benjamin Dykas officiating.  Interment, St.
  Stanislaus Cemetery, Boswell.
