  SOPHIA GURZENDA
  
    Sophia Gurzenda, 87, Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin, died May 18, 1980,
  Somerset Community Hospital.
    She was born Oct. 27, 1892, in Poland, daughter of the late Alexander and
  Justina Gacka.  She was also preceded in death by husband, William, and son,
  Vernon.  She is survived by these children:  Jean, wife of Joseph
  Kuzniewski, New York, N.Y.; Violet, wife of Harry Gildersleeve, Levittown,
  N.Y.; Mrs. Blanche Lustig, Newark, N.J.; and Norman, Rockwood; also 12
  grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She was a sister of John Gacka
  and Anna, both of Poland.  She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic
  Church, Somerset.
    Friends were received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home.  A mass of
  Christian Burial was held at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church with the
  Rev. Father Samuel Tomaselli officiating.  Interment, Somerset County
  Memorial Park.
