  GURZENDA
  
  Vernon William Gurzenda, 62, of Parsons Hill, Somerset, died April 24 in
  Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Jan. 19, 1912 in Black
  Township, a son of Mrs. Sophia Gacka Gurzenda of Rockwood and the late
  William Gurzenda.  Also survived by these children:  Mrs. Frank (Eileen)
  Derro of Cheverly, Md.; Mrs. Robert (Marian) Miles of Potomac, Md.; Mrs.
  Lawrence (Suzanne) Keblusek of Washington, D.C.; William V. of Somerset and
  three grandchildren.  A brother of Norman J. of Rockwood; Mrs. Harry
  Gildersleeve of Levittown, Long Island, N.Y.; Mrs. Charles Lustig of
  Trenton, N.J. and Mrs. Joseph Kuzniewski of New York City.  He was a member
  of St. Peter's Catholic Church and was president of the Rockwood
  Manufacturing Co. which he founded in 1945.  Family will receive friends
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home
  where wake service will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday with Requiem Mass sung 10
  a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Samuel
  Tomaselli officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.  Family
  suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
