Guthrie, 76, of Star Route, Frostburg, Md., died Friday, July 4, 1986, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. He was born Sept. 4, 1909, in Brandonville, W. Va., son of the late James Guthrie and Carrie (Maust) Guthrie. He was a member of Shady Grove Church of the Brethren; a retired employee of Spoerl's Body Shop, Cumberland. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Grace (Sisler) Guthrie; six sons: James, Robert, Harvey and Delbert, all of Frostburg, Md.; Ray, Cumberland; Carl, Bruceton Mills, W. Va.; seven daughters: Mrs. Genevieve Swauger, Grantsville, Md.; Mrs. Marie Hixon and Mrs. Linda Galloway, both of Bruceton, W. Va.; Mrs. Thelma Russell, Barton, Md.; Mrs. Betty Isabel, Deer Park, Md.; Mrs. Helen Ann Fike, Fort Campbell, Ky.; Miss Mary Lou Guthrie, at home; three sisters: Mrs. Ethel Ritchey, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Ada Boyd, Newfield, N.J.; Mrs. Ruth Seese, Bruceton, W. Va.; 34 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home. Services were conducted at Shady Grove Church of the Brethren Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev.
