Guthrie, 72, of Markleysburg passed away March 24, 2003 in Uniontown Hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1931 in Uniontown the son of the late Clarence Ray and Mary Mae Livengood Guthrie. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Peyton Guthrie. Surviving are his loving wife Lulu McNair Guthrie, children Kevin Guthrie and wife Michele of Farmington; Grenaville Guthrie and wife Chrissanda of Markleysburg; grandchildren Shawna, Caycee, Brady and Jordan Guthrie; brothers, Hagan Guthrie and wife Arlene of Dunbar, Wendell Guthrie and wife Loretta of Markleysburg and sister Audrey Savage and husband Clarence of Markleysburg. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He attended Union Chapel Church. Founding member of the Mountain Fellowship Center. A graduate of Dunbar High School Class of 1949, a former Henry Clay Township supervisor, was an insurance agent and a retired dairy farmer. He was a member of the Laurel Lodge 651 F & AM and the Pittsburgh Consistory. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Crawford Funeral Home, Farmington, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. David Herring and Rev. Shirley Norman officiating. Interment will follow in Thomas Cemetery, Markleysburg. Daily American, March 26, 2003 [G1202]
