Mr. Houck resided at Cairnbrook, near Central City. Born in Latrobe, Sept. 27, 1881, he was the son of the late John S. and Fayette Gebrett Houck. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jessie C. Devey, Cairnbrook; a brother, William Houck, Jeannette, and two nephews and a niece. He was a member of the Windber Church, Loyalhanna Lodge 275 F. & A. M., Latrobe; Williamsport Consistory, Jaffa Shrine and the Oriental Chapter of Knights Templar. He retired in 1961 as paymaster for the Loyalhanna Coal and Coke Co. Cairnbrook. He was postmaster at Cairnbrook for 30 years. Friends will be received at the John Henderson Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Johnstown, where services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 pm by the Rev. Robert Spangler, pastor of Windber Methodist Church. Interment will be at Unity Cemetery.
