FREDERICK W. HABEL

  Frederick W. Habel, 76, died on Aug. 3rd, at his home in Markleton.  He was a 
retired B & O telegrapher and lived much of his life in and around Meyersdale.  
He was a son of Conrad and Elizabeth (Knierim) Habel.
  He was a member of Amity Reformed Church of Meyersdale, and of the Order of 
Railroad Telegraphers.
  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Wagner Habel, and a brother, William 
H. Habel of Meyersdale.
  Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Ziegler Funeral Home, 
Hyndman, with Rev. Nelson C. Brown of Meyersdale, officiating.  Burial in the 
Hyndman Cemetery.
