  JOHN H. HABEL 
  
    John H. Habel, 76, of Meyersdale RD 4, died Feb. 23 in Memorial Hospital,
  Cumberland, Md., a son of the late John D. and Jenny Reynolds Habel.
    He was a well-known farmer in the district and an employee of the B & O
  Railroad for 20 years.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Myrtle G. Pugh and these children:
  two sons Clyde E. of Meyersdale RD 4 and Frederick E. at home; four
  daughters: Mrs. Alvy (Francis) Ravenscroft of Meyersdale; Mrs. Donald
  (Mary) Schardt of Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Burdette (Margaret) Smith of North
  Versailles; and Miss Joyce A., at home; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Byers
  of Meyersdale; Mrs. Margaret Stone of Meyersdale RD 4; and Mrs. Rebecca
  Hodgson of Willowby, Ohio; and 13 grandchildren. 
    Services will be conducted, today Thursday, at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
  Lloyd Trout officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale in charge
  of Price Funeral Home.
