Habner, 84, Meyersdale, died June 8, 1990, at Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born March 8, 1906, in Confluence, a son of the late Frank and Ida (Crowe) Habner. Preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Jackson) Habner. Survived by his widow, Melda (Durst) Cochran Habner, and these children: Ronald of Sherrill, N.Y.; Robert and Samuel of Nabet, N.Y.; Charles of Rock Tavern, N.Y.; Lois Stimmell, Pensacola, Fla.; Mary Belle Whoolery of Smithfield, and Ellen Panarlella, Cleveland, Ohio; also 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother of William of Pittsburgh, and Margaret Beal of Connellsville. Retired from Western Maryland Railroad. Member of the United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Leckemby Funeral Home, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, with Rev. Ray Gnagey officiating.
