Hachman, 68, of Humbert Road, Confluence, died Sept. 29, 2001, at Somerset Hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Somerfield, a son of the late Noah and Della (Shirer) Hachman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna I. (Woods) Hachman; a sister, Viola Riley; and a brother, Luther. He is survived by daughters, Marie Basinger of Connellsville, and Linda Hachman of Hollsopple, a son, Eugene of Confluence, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a sister, Goldie Wass of Confluence. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Youghiogheny Dam and a 1951 graduate of Confluence High School. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Duane Riddle officiating.
