Her age at death was 76 years, four months and 10 days. The daughter of the late Herman and Susan Deist, she was born April 6, 1872, in Meyersdale where she lived all her life. Her husband, William F. Hady, a B. & O. engineer, died in 1919. Mrs. Hady is survived by the following children: Ella, wife of Walter Koontz, Gary, Ind.; Mrs. Maud Anderson, Chicago, Ill.; Bess, wife of Frank Hoopes, Minerva, O.; Margaret, wife of Robert Peck, Sr., Meyersdale; Nelle, wife of Fred Groff, Meyersdale; Michael and George, Meyersdale; William, Somerset; James and Frederick, Gary, Ind.; Emma, wife of George May, Johnstown; Dorothy, wife of Henry Walter, Johnstown. Also surviving are two brothers, Charles Deist of Glencoe and Albert Deist of Steubenville, O., and two sisters, Mrs. E. R. Beagle of Bedford and Mrs. J. O. McDowell of Warren, O., and by 27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a devoted member to her large family of children, and in turn was lovingly cared for in her later years by them, those that reside away coming as frequently as possible to visit her. She was a faithful member of Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Konhaus Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Fitz, Evangelical and Reformed minister of Johnstown, and the Rev. H. K. Hilner, local Lutheran minister, officiating. Interment was made in Union Cemetery.
