All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ MILTON CHARLES HAER Milton Charles Haer, aged 55 years, 11 months, 13 days, died in the Somerset Community Hospital, Tuesday evening, July 14th. He was the third son of the late Christian and Elizabeth (Burkholder) Haer. Mr. Haer was a schoolteacher and a tax collector in both Garrett Borough, and Summit Township for a number of years, later following the occupation of farming. Mr. Haer was a member of the Center Lutheran Church since boyhood, where he was also superintendent of the Sunday School for many years. On June 22, 1910, he married Grace Dickey of Brothersvalley Township. In addition to his widow, five children also survive. They are Elizabeth, wife of Eugene Siegner, Cleveland, Ohio; Josephine, wife of Joseph Bulebush, Jr., Mammoth, Pa., and Charles, Mary and Patricia at their home near Garrett. Also surviving are four grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: George and Noah of Garrett R.D., Ollie, wife of Daniel Bockes, Garrett, and Mary, wife of Clyde Grove, Indian Head, Pa. Funeral services were conducted at the Center Lutheran Church, Friday morning, July 17th, at 11:00, by Rev. Elwood Staul. Interment was in the Center Church Cemetery under the direction of R.
