HAINES Walter Lupton (Lup) Haines, 81, died Oct 6, 1978 in Hampshire Memorial Hospital. Born in Hampshire County March 6, 1897, he was a son of the late Joseph S. and Mary E. (Corbin) Haines. Preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle (Grapes) Haines, he is survived by his second wife, Mrs. Mary (Bean) Haines, five sons, Oscar (John) Haines, Oldtown, Md.; Walter Leo Haines, Glencoe; Robert E. Haines, Baltimore, Md.; Leo R. Haines, Willis, Texas; William L. Haines, Frostburg, Md.; a stepson, Charles H. Wilson, Romney, W. Va.; a daughter, Mrs. M. Isabell Decker, Marlboro, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Dailey Keckley, Romney, W. Va. and Mrs. Sadie Lineweaver, Winchester, Va. and 20 grandchildren. Friends were received at the Shaffer Funeral Home where services were conducted with Rev. Clarence A. Kaylor and Rev. John B. Jones officiating. Interment, Ebenezer Cemetery.
