  HALE
  
  James S. Hale, 76, of Baltimore, Md., formerly of Jerome, died Feb. 27 in
  Baltimore City Hospital.  Born Dec. 22, 1897 in Summerhill, a son of Mr.
  and Mrs. Joseph Hale.  Preceded in death by parents; his first wife, the
  former Sadie L. Schroyer, who died July 4, 1957 and several brothers and
  sisters.  Survived by widow, the former Bessie Jacobs; a son James W.
  married to the former Mary Ellen Baughman of Somerset RD 3; a daughter,
  Iscalene H., wife of David Wright of Jenners and eight grandchildren. 
  Brother of Joseph of Hastings, Pa. and Mrs. Edna Goughnour of Baltimore.  A
  former employee of Hillman Coal and Coke Co., Jerome.  Member of Jerome
  Local 1113 U.M.W.A.  Friends received after 7 p.m. Friday at the Joseph G.
  Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell where services will be held 1
  p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Harry C. Greene officiating.  Interment
  Salisbury-Elk Lick Cemetery.
