Hall, 79, of Boswell RD 2, died 11:45 p.m., May 31, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Dec. 13, 1894, in Ohiopyle, son of John B. and Matilda Jane Hall. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by widow, the former Mabel Hunter, and these children: Evelyn, wife of Edward F. Klodt, Atlanta; Helen, wife of James O. Prevatte, Sierravista, Ariz., and Edward H., married to the former Florence O'Connor, Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell, where he served numerous terms on the church council and was a former Sunday School superintendent and teacher. Was one of the founders, former superintendent, and a stockholder in the Boswell Lumber Co. Was a past president of the former Jenner Community Chamber of Commerce, and a director of the former Jenner Fair Association. Charter member and past president of Boswell Lions Club. Member of Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Member for 52 years of IOOF, first in Boswell, lately in Somerset Lodge 438. Death ends a marriage union of 59 years. Friends were received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, and will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, and until noon Tuesday, at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell. Body will be removed to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell, for viewing from 1 p.m. Tuesday until time of service at 2 p.m., Rev. George A. Clark officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. IOOF service, 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials for Mr. Hall may be made to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church Sound System Fund.
