He was born July 27, 1936, in Greensboro, N.C., the son of Dr. and Mrs. George E. Halteman. George is survived by his mother, Dean; his siblings, Lloyd, Geri, Linda, Beth and their families; his wife of 47 years, Myrna; his son, Steven; daughters, Jennifer, Jill and Beth; his daughter-in-law Naomi; and sons-in-law, Ray Liepa and Weston Lomelli, and his beautiful grandchildren, Madison, Miko, Trevor Benton, Jadyn and Claire. He graduated from Pottstown High, Catawba College, North Carolina and Lancaster Seminary. He was ordained a Minister of the United Church of Christ and served churches in the Glade Charge, including St. Johns Shanksville, Unity Glade, Trinity Roxbury and St. Lukes Mountain; Thurmont, Md., California City and Mojave, Calif. Following his retirement he was a guide at Hoover Dam. We will miss him, as will his neighbors on Cheyenne Court, and his friends in Boulder City. He was a man who touched so many lives in so many different ways, all in his own unique way. George died suddenly following surgery. The family will be at home during the week to receive visitors.
