  ALMA S. HALVERSON
  
    Alma S. Halverson, 72, East Main Street, Somerset, died Oct. 23, 1982, at
  Memorial Hospital.
    She was born April 26, 1910, in Jenner Township, daughter of late Walter
  B. and Marion (Zimmerman) Shaffer.  She was also preceded in death by
  husband, Kenneth E., and grandson, William.
    She is survived by these children: Kenneth S., Somerset RD; Jerry A., Elm
  Grove, Wheeling, W.Va.; James A., Columbus, Ohio; and Susan, wife of Vance
  Carter, Berea, Ohio; also 16 grandchildren.  She was the sister of Frieda,
  wife of Frank Straatemeier, San Jose, Calif., and Charles Shaffer,
  Lynchburg, Va.  She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ,
  Somerset.
    Friends were received at Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where services
  were conducted with the Rev. George Walton officiating.  Interment, Husband
  Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Church
  of Christ, Somerset.
