"Pump" Halverson, 75, West Patriot Street, Somerset, died Sept. 15, 1985, in Somerset Community Hosiptal [sic]. Born Aug. 20, 1910, in Windber, son of the late Samuel C. and Selma (Swanson) Halverson. Preceded in death by parents; sister, May Grof; and brothers, Raymond and Harold. Survived by his wife, Erma (Lambert) Halverson; sons: Samuel and John Halverson and Charles Engleka, all of Mesa, Ariz,.; five grandchildren; and one brother, Lester K., Yorktown, Va. He was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church; retired employee of Pennsylvania Department of Welfare; a charter member and former secretary-treasurer of Somerset County Oldtimers Baseball Association,. Friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Tuesday (today) in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Douglas A. Rehberg officiating.
