Halverson, 90, Hartville, Ohio, formerly of Quecreek, died Sept. 18, 2008, in Akron, Ohio. Born Nov. 30, 1917, in Indiana County, son of the late Halver T. and Claire Davis Halverson. Preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Carlson Halverson; and one daughter, Dorothy Hershman; two brothers, Kenneth E. Halverson and Clarence (Bud) Halverson; and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy (Ream) Barclay and Mrs. Isabel (Ivan) Flower. Survived by two daughters, Donna (Doug) Woessner, Hartville; Doris (Larry) Stimpfle, Bethlehem; son-in-law, David Hershman, Hartsville; brother, Robert H. Halverson, Somerset; sister in- law, Jean (Bud) Halverson, Uniontown, Ohio; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a 1936 graduate of Somerset Area High School. He retired from Ohio Bell Telephone with 38 years of service. He was an avid golfer. He was a member of Saint Jacob's Lutheran Church, North Canton, Ohio. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, Uniontown, Ohio. Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Jacob's Lutheran Church, North Canton.
