Halverson, 69, of Felgar Road, Somerset, died June 13, 1975, in his residence. Born in Windber, May 2, 1906, a son of Samuel C. and Selma (Swanson) Halverson. Preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Paul Grof. Survived by his wife, Catheryn Carns; and these children: Jean, wife of Elwood Walker, West Milton, Ohio; and Joan, wife of Ted Grenke, New Florence, Pa.; one step daughter, Mrs. Bertha Meyers, Murraysville; five grandchildren; and three step grandchildren. Brother of Harold; Lester, Yorktown, Va.; and Carl, Somerset. Member and past deacon of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Somerset; Somerset Lodge 358 F&AM; Harrisburg Consistory; Jaffa Temple, Altoona Shrine; and Somerset County Shrine Club. Member and past noble grand of Somerset Lodge 438 IOOF. Member of the National Retired Teachers' Association. Member of the local and American Association of Retired Persons. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where private service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Carl R. Hull officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Funeral Home by Somerset Lodge 438 IOOF and memorial services at 8 p.m. in the funeral home by Somerset Lodge 358 F&AM.
