  HAMER
  
    Carl W. Hamer, 52, Friedens RD 1, died July 9, 1990, at his residence. 
  Born Jan. 7, 1938, in Stonycreek Township, son of Charles and Linetta
  (Fritz) Hamer of Friedens RD 1.  Preceded in death by grandparents, Earl
  and Mabel Fritz, and Charles Sr. and Susan Hamer.  Survived by wife Betty
  Shaulis; these children:  Craig; Wayne, married to the former Angie Ross,
  Friedens RD 2; Allen "Pete," Somerset; Penny, wife of Dalton Brant,
  Friedens RD 1; one stepson, Richard Shaulis, married to the former Lillie
  Gary, Markleton RD 1; also four grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and one
  sister, Karen, wife of James Smith, Somerset RD 4.  Member of Faith Lutheran
  Church.  Served in the U.S. Army.  His death terminated marriage union of 31
  years.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Robert
  H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m.
  Wednesday, Rev. William N. Hay officiating.  Interment, Beulah Cemetery. 
  Memorials may be made to the Somerset Hospice.
