  HAMER
  
    Charles W. Hamer Jr., 75, of Friedens RD 1, died July 24, 1994, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born March 27, 1919, in Johnstown.  Son of Charles W.
  Sr. and Susie (Miller) Hamer.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Carl;
  brother, Merritt Miller Hamer, and half-brother, Homer Hamer.  Survived by
  his wife of 57 years, the former Linetta Fritz; daughter, Karen, married to
  James Smith, Somerset RD 4; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;
  daughter-in-law, Betty Hamer; and sister, Luella Shaulis, Hubbard, Ohio. 
  He was retired from Highland Tank and Manufacturing Co., Stoystown, after
  28 years as a driver.  He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.  Family
  will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral
  Home, Stoystown.  Viewing at Faith Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until time
  of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Lloyd Wilson, assisted by Larry
  Hoover, officiating.  Interment, Wills Cemetery.  Memorial contributions
  may be given to Faith Lutheran Church, Somerset RD 5, or the Diabetes
  Association.
