  Kay D. Hamer, 62, of Hampden Township, died Dec. 22, 2001 in Carlisle
  Regional Medical Center.  She was born Aug. 2, 1939 in Johnstown to the
  late Guy D. and Bertha A. (Wilt) Weigle.  She is survived by her husband
  James E. Hamer; two daughters, Pamela D. Metzger of Pittsburgh and Trudy E.
  Hamer of Lewisberry; a son Timothy J. Hamer of Smithville, Va.; two sisters,
  Claire A. Beal of New Bloomfield and Jane A. Weigle of Shanksville; four
  step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandson.  She was a retired office
  manager for Wheeler Bros. Inc., Somerset; a trivia buff and enjoyed
  needlework.  Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in
  Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with Pastor
  Gerald Greiner officiating.  There will be no viewing or visitation.  Burial
  will be at the convenience of family.  Memorial contributions may be made to
  the Humane Society of the Harrisburg area, West Shore Shelter, Sinclair and
  Eppley Roads, Mechanicsburg, Pa. 17055.
