CHARLES HAMMOND Charles Hammond, 69, of Sea Pines Plantation, Hilton Head Island, S.C. died Wednesday, June 12, 1985, at his home. Mr. Hammond was born in McKees Rock, Pa. the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hammond. He spent his youth at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Ebbecka, of North St., Meyersdale. He graduated from Meyersdale High School. He was a former member of the Lutheran Church. He was a graduate of Penn State University, a member of Beaver Pa. Masonic Lodge, a member of the Sea Pines Club and First Presbyterian Church, Hilton Head Island. He was the retired purchasing director of Pullman-Swindell Co. of Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife, Betty Hammond of Hilton Head Island; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Reinertsen of Purcellville, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Hale of Mill Village, Pa.; and four grandchildren, an aunt, Sanna Ebbecka, Cameron Manor, Indiana, Pa. Memorial services were held at the First Presbyterian Church at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 16th.
