Born June 2, 1920, in Shade Township, the son of John and Elizabeth (Kozma) Hancharik. Proceeded in death by parents; wife, the former Susan Elko; brother John and sisters Mary, Verna and Elizabeth. Survived by daughters: Linda, wife of Gerald Hittie, New Wilmington; Joan, wife of Ted Garloski, Midland, Texas; grandsons, Joshua, Aaron, Alexander and Nicholas. Brother of Mike, Ann Koval and Joe, all of Cairnbrook; Helen Petkosh, Sidman; Andy, Windber, and Mary Doxey and Pauline Whitman, both of Johnstown. U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Retired UMWA miner. Friends received 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3:15. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady Queen of Angels Chapel, with Father Charles Bodziak. Committal, St. John's Cemetery.
