Born July 26, 1932, in Shade Township. Son of George and Catherine (Kutza) Hancher. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Deborah H. Baker; brother, John; and sisters, Mary Gernsback and Sue Jakimetz. Survived by daughter, Alexis, married to Richard Baker, Somerset; granddaughters, Melissa, married to Tom Raygor, Berlin; and Heather Dively, Somerset; and great-grandsons, Evan and Kyle Raygor. Brother of Ann Albert, Windber; Mike, and wife, Helen, Central City; Paul, and wife, Betty, Port Richey, Fla.; Helen Shima, Central City; George, McMurray; Pete, and wife Donna, Margate, Fla.; Retired Lt. Col. Fred, and wife, Jean, Calera, Okla.; Sylvia, married to John Chashar, Rootsville, Ohio; Sonia Elanigan, Laurel, Md.; and Frank, and wife, Madelyn, Columbia Station, Ohio. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was a retired coal miner, and enjoyed gardening. Viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.
