Hancock, 90, Hollywood, Fla., formerly of Boswell, died Dec. 31, 2007, in Florida. Born Feb. 21, 1917, in Kentucky, son of Everett and Ida (Browning) Hancock. Preceded in death by parents; and wife of 46 years, the former Mildred C. Codispoti, on May 27, 2003. Survived by children, Sarah A. Trick, California; Michael B. Hancock, Dayton, Ohio; and Marsha A., married to Harrison Smith, Friedens; granddaughters, Jennifer Miller and Jacklyn Botkin; and stepdaughter, Marian Hostetler, Somerset and her children, Roy and Linda. A graduate of Bethel (Ohio) High School, University of Kentucky and Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. He received his doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Tennessee. Past president of various pharmaceutical associations, including the Cambria-Somerset-Bedford Association. Member of Knights of Columbus, Boswell Lions Club, Boswell Lodge 1780 Sons of Italy and the former North Star Improvement Association. Along with his wife, Mildred, he operated the Boswell Prescription Center for 17 years. Friends and family are\ invited to attend a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell. The Rev. Father Justin A. Ratajczak, OFM, Conv., celebrant. Following the Mass, visitation from 11 a.m. until the committal service at 12:30 p.m. held at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell. Burial at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Sons of Italy memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to your favorite Catholic charity would be appreciated.
