Hancock, 68, of West Broadway Street, Rockwood, formerly of Spartanburg, S.C., died Aug. 25, 1994, at the Somerset Hospital. Born June 22, 1926, in Leechburg, son of the late Jerry and Norma (Deemer) Hancock. Also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Hancock. Survived by his wife, the former Shirley J. Fleming; a daughter, Pamela Speer of Vandergrift, and sons, Robert of Philadelphia and Randy of North Apollo; five grandchildren, six stepchildren: LeRoy and Randy, both of Rockwood; Frank of Gulfport, Miss., and Tamara of Pittsburgh; William and Jolene, both of Spartanburg, S.C.; nine stepgrandchildren and one great-grandchild; one nephew, Richard Klingingsmith of Apollo, Pa. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the occupation of Japan. Member of Rockwood American Legion Post 279. He retired in 1980 from United Engineering and Foundry Company of Vandergrift, and in 1992 from Dynacast Inc. of Spartanburg. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Friday (today) at the Wilbur D.
