   Shirley J. Hancock, 69, Rockwood, went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2006. Born June
  24, 1937 in Plum, she is the daughter of the late John J. and Margaret M. (Shirley)
  Prunty Fleming. She is preceded in death by her parents and husbands Charles E. Newell
  and Robert L. Hancock. She is survived by her children, LeRoy C. Newell and wife Tammy,
  Rockwood; the Rev. Randy C. Newell and wife Holly, Shanksville; Frank A. Sorbin and wife
  Robyn, Gulfport, Miss; Tamara M. Herman and husband James, Trenton, Mich; Jolene McCall
  and husband Eric, Boiling Springs, S.C., and William Clawson II and fiancˇe Keely,
  Raleigh, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a long time family
  friend, Evelyn Dry, Apollo. She recently attended Milford United Methodist Church. She
  was a past secretary of the Rockwood American Legion Post 279 Ladies Auxiliary. Friends
  will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. Saturday
  at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, the Rev. Randy Newell officiating. A private committal
  service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. In lieu of
  flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes
  Association.
