Handwerk, 73, of Star Route, Grantsville, Md., died Jan. 21, 1981 in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. She was born at Jennings, and was a daughter of Eliza Jane (Burkholder) Mason and the late Wilson Mason and was a member of the Jennings Church of God. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Oscar Handwerk; three sons, Owen Handwerk, Harry Handwerk and Marvin Handwerk, all of Grantsville; six brothers, Galen Mason of West Salisbury; Herbert Mason, Dewey Mason and Harry Mason, all of Jennings, Ellis Mason, Listonburg; and Paul Mason of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Bittinger, Salisbury, and Mrs. Leona Bennett of Hagerstown, Md.; three granddaughters and one stepgrandson. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services were held at the funeral home with the Rev. George Plants officiating. Interment will be in the Handwerk Cemetery.
