GERALDINE HANDWERK

  Geraldine Handwerk, only child of Norman and Edna (Martz) Handwerk, of Berlin, 
passed away at the Windber hospital May 16, at the age of 9 years, 4 months and 
6 days.  With the passing of this dear little girl the entire community is 
deeply crushed to say nothing of the feeling of her parents in giving their only 
child.  Geraldine was a pupil in the fourth grade of the Berlin-Brothersvalley 
school where she had a host of friends.
  Funeral services were held at the Handwerk home, May 19, at 2 p.m., by Rev. C. 
P. Bastian, pastor of the Berlin Lutheran Church.  Interment in the Berlin 
I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Son, Berlin morticians.
