Born Jan. 28, 1936, Shade Township, son of late Victor and Etta Louella (Phillippi) Handwork. Survived by wife, the former Barbara Grace Saylor, and these children: Robert Glen Handwork, Cannonsburg, and Helen J. Handwork, Somerset. Brother of Mrs. Alverta Luce, Somerset, and Harry "Jack" Handwork, Alum Bank, Pa. Storeroom manager at Somerset State Hospital. 1954 graduate of Bedford High School and had attended Pennsylvania State University. Member of Grace United Methodist Church, Wills Grange 1690 and Worthy Master of Somerset County Pomona Grange 39. Avid hunter and sportsman. Enjoyed making stained glass art-work and had taught classes in it at Laurel Arts. Recipient of 1993 Somerset County Chamber of Commerce Person of Year Award. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Charles F.
