  ADAM A. HANFT
   
    Adam A. (Sam) Hanft, 87, of Miller Street, Grantsville, Md.; died April
  5, 1980 in Frostburg Community Hospital.
    He was born in Accident, Md.; and was a son of the late Charles Hanft and
  Anna (Oester) Hanft.  His wife Mrs. Florence (Smearman) Hanft, preceded him
  in death.
    He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Grantsville; was a veteran of
  World War I and was a member of Grantsville Post 214 American Legion.  He
  was a retired tire recapper for Motor Services Company, Grantsville.
    He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Grace Broadwater, Grantsville, and a
  grandchild.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where
  services were conducted.  The Rev. David Fetter will officiate and
  interment will be in Grantsville Cemetery.
