All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ ANNA BARBARA HANFT Garrett County, Maryland Mrs. Anna Barbara Reichelt, wife of Adam Hanft, of the Keyser's Ridge community, died at the Allegany Hospital, Cumberland, about 6:30 o'clock Thursday evening, January 9. She had been ill for about four months and had been a patient at the hospital since Nov. 30. Born at Lonaconing, May 6, 1872, she was a daughter of August and Rosina Fresh Reichelt. She was 68 years of age at the time of her demise. She and Mr. Hanft had been married for about forty-nine years. They had resided at Keyser's Ridge for many years. Mrs. Hanft was the last of her family in which there were fourteen children. Surviving besides her husband, are five daughters and one son, namely: Mrs. Ralph Frazee, at home; Mrs. Earl Turney and Mrs. Joe Wright, Addison, Pa.; Mrs. Joseph Seibert, Somerfield, Pa.; Mrs. Walter Weimer, Fairchance, Pa., and August Hanft, Stone House Farm, Grantsville. Mrs. Hanft had long been a member of the German Lutheran Church at Cove, where funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Jan. 12. Rev. H. H. Fickenscher, pastor, officiated, and interment was in the adjoining cemetery under the direction of William Winterberg, local mortician. Pallbearers were Messrs. Charles Reichenbecher, Scott Duckworth, Adam A. Hanft, John Reichenbecher, William Hanft and Melchor Kolb. Meyersdale Republican, January 16, 1941
