  MRS. ADAM HANFT
   
    Mrs. Florence E. Hanft, 64, wife of Adam Hanft, Grantsville, Md., died
  Friday, Jan. 12, in Miners Hospital, Frostburg, where she had been admitted
  earlier in the day.
    Born at St. Paul, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Louis and Mary
  (Opel) Smearman.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and United
  Lutheran Church Women.
    Surviving besides her husband are: a daughter, Mrs. Grace Broadwater,
  Wheaton, Md.; a brother, Ernest Smearman, Uniontown, and one grandchild.
    The body remained at the Hanft residence until noon Monday, when it was
  taken to Christ Lutheran Church for service at 2 p.m., Pastor David Fetter
  officiating.  Interment was in Grantsville Cemetery.
