WILLIAM A. HANING

  William A. Haning, a prominent citizen and farmer of Elk Lick Township, died 
at his home at 11:05 a.m., Wednesday, the cause of his death being a malignant 
tumor of the colon which had caused him long and intense suffering.  He was 
about 52 years of age and is survived by his wife and a number of children.  
Funeral services will be held in the Springs Mennonite church at 2 o'clock 
Friday afternoon.  A more extended obituary will be published next week.
