  HANKINSON
  
  D. A. Hankinson, 82, of New Baltimore, died April 19, 1978, at his
  residence.  Born Jan. 8, 1896, in New Baltimore, son of the late James and
  Anna (Engbert) Hankinson.  Survived by widow, the former Grace Callahan,
  whom he married May 12, 1926.  Also survived by these children: Rosemarie,
  wife of Stanley Hillegas, Bedford; Mary Grace, wife of Thomas Stiffler, New
  Baltimore; D.V. (Buddy) Hankinson, New Baltimore; Agnes, wife of Robert
  Alianiello of Lutherville, Md.; Bernard J., Bedford; Richard J., Fairfax,
  Va.; Margaret, wife of Leonard Diehl, Manns Choice, RD; 22 grandchildren. 
  A brother of Fred Hankinson of St. Michael.  He was preceded in death by
  two sisters, five brothers and a granddaughter.  He was a retired farmer
  and a member of St. John the Baptist's Church in New Balitmore where
  funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Robert C.
  Flaherty, 'His O. Carm. Interment, St. John's Church Cemetery.  Friends are
  being received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday 
  at the Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg where Christian Wake 
  Service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday.
