Hankinson, 87, of 1404 Hay St., Berlin, formerly of New Baltimore died Dec. 13, 2000 at Meadow View Manor Nursing Home. Born May 20, 1913 in Juniata Township, Bedford County. She was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Mary (Imgrund) Wambaugh. She was the widow of Lawrence B. Hankinson, whom she married May 30, 1934 and he preceded her in death May 16, 1953. Also preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Hill and Alice Brinegar and two brothers George and Fred Wambaugh. She is survived by her daughter, Veronica, wife of Paul Ferko, Brunswick, Ohio; son, James W. husband of Diane Finnen, Grafton, Ohio; son Robert "Gus" husband of Ingrid Patzel, Polk Ohio; sisters, Marie Lohr, Manns Choice, and Lucy Meyers, Berlin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was a cook at the Howard Johnson Restaurants, both in Somerset and New Baltimore, and retired from the Landmark Restaurant in Bedford. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Christian Mothers of the Church, New Baltimore. Friends are invited to call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where a Vigil for the deceased will be held at 8:30 p.m. Funeral mass at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Church with Rev.
