    Irene C. Hankinson, 92, Berlin RD 3, died Dec. 25, 1989, in Bedford
  County Memorial Hospital.  Born Nov. 23, 1897, in New Baltimore, daughter
  of late Charles F. and Grace E. (Lehman) Fochtman.  Preceded in death by
  husband, Urban L., Sept. 20, 1931; son, Eugene; brother, Clarence;
  grandson, David Suhrie, and granddaughter, Kathy.  Survived by these
  children: Charles, married to the former Mary Ellen Restly, New Baltimore;
  Leo married to the former Eileen Hillegass, Levittown; Josephine, wife of
  Cyril Suhrie, and Mrs. Margaret M. Lynch, both of Berlin RD 3; also 21
  grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  Sister of Edmund Fochtman of
  South Apopka, Fla.; Mrs. Margaret Burkett, Cresaptown, Md.; Mrs. Kathleen
  Marshall, Johnstown; Mrs. Gertrude Diehl, Alfred Fochtman and Mrs. Sylvia
  Mowry, all of New Baltimore.  Member of Christian Mothers and Third Order
  of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore, where Mass of
  Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Barry
  Baroni.  Interment, church cemetery.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to
  9 p.m. today at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where wake service
  will be held at 8:30 p.m.
