    Anna LaVerne (Peg) Hanks, 72, of Friedens RD 2, died March 31, 1981, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Aug. 23, 1908, in Kimmelton, daughter of
  the late Robert and Pearl (Lambert) Paxton.  Survived by husband, Charles
  L., whom she married June 6, 1925; three sons, Robert C., Hooversville; R.
  Gene, married to Gloria Mezack, Baltimore, Md.; and Barry L., married to
  Mary Christner, Friedens RD 2; 13 grandchildren; and seven
  great-grandchildren.  Sister of Mrs. Richard (Ethleen) Lear, Orville,
  Calif.; and Robert, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.  One of the original partners and
  designers of Hilltop Floral Co., Friedens.  Member of Friedens Lutheran
  Church, former member and state officer of D of A, Friedens.  Family will
  receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Deaner Funeral
  Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, the
  Rev. James R. Ling.  Interment, Friedens Lutheran Cemetery.
