Born June 13, 1918 in California, Pa. a daughter of Clarence Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Crawford) Walters. Preceded in death by parents; husband William Warren Hanks who died June 20, 1984 and one son Warren Ronald Hanks. Survived by children: Mrs. Edmund O. (Yvonne June "Vonnie") Baldisweiler of Somerset, Mr. William J. Hanks married to the former Debra Herring of BelAir, Md. and Mrs. Kenneth H. (Susan Jane) Sube of Somerset; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and brother James A. Walters of Irwin. A 1936 graduate of Uniontown High School. Member of Calvary United Methodist Church, where she worked as Secretary/Treasurer from 1986-1996. Also member of United Methodist women and the church's Friendship class and was also on the advisory board of the church. Member of Trinity Chapter 138 OES, 55 and Over Speeders. Past president of Somerset Senior Hospital Auxiliary and she was a past Hospice volunteer. Former secretary for Somerset County Planning Commission and the City of Allentown Planning Commission. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Somerset with Pastor William J. Hanks officiating. Interment, Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
