GEORGE ARTHUR HANNANT

  George Arthur Hannant, 65, died Wednesday at his home in Confluence following 
a long illness.  He was born in Gateshead, England, April 9, 1883.  He lived in 
Donora before going to Confluence and had been foreman of a zinc mill there 
before retiring a year and a half ago.
  His wife, the former Miss Sophia Hall of Ohiopyle, survives and the following 
children: Mrs. Wanda Gonzales and Mrs. Ruth Moine of Donora.  His father and 
several brothers and sisters living in England also survive.
  Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Humbert Funeral Home, with 
the Rev. Alden Allen officiating; burial in the Baptist cemetery.
