Harbaugh, Allen E.

  Allen E. Harbaugh, puite (quite?) a gifted writer of poetry, aged 66 years, 
died June 11, at Mill Run, Springfield Township. For some years, Mr. Harbaugh 
published "The Guest" at Mill Run. He was a descendent of John Phillippi, who 
Mr. Harbaugh averred, was the first white man to set foot in Somerset County and 
whose remains still rest in the New Centerville Cemetery in an unmarked grave. 
His knowledge of Somerset County historical lore was astonishingly full and 
accurate.
