Born Dec. 28, 1923, in Maple Summit, a son of the late Robert B. and Alice (Rugg) Harbaugh. Surviving are his wife, the former Pauline Glisan; a son, Richard Lee Harbaugh; two daughters, Judy Elaine Varndell and Betty Lou Tressler, all of Confluence; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; four brothers, Irwin Oscar, Somerset; James H. "Hub," Rockwood; Donald and Clifford, both of Somerset, and two sisters, Ester Melia, Confluence, and Marlene Schnatterly, Del Rio, Texas. Preceded in death by sister, Pearl Kemp. Veteran of World War II. Retired as a U.S. Mail carrier in Confluence after 29 years of service. Former part-time custodian for Uniontown Area School District. Member of the Hopwood Manor Thursday night bowling league. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Joseph Lewis and the Rev.
