(Duke) Harden, 68, of Meyersdale, formerly of Frostburg, Maryland, died August 22, 1983, at Meyersdale Community Hospital. He was born May 11, 1915, in Frostburg. He was the son of the late Edward and Annie (Thorpe) Harden. He is survived by his wife, the former Alice Brode. Also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Lashley and Mrs. Helen Nolan, both of Frostburg. Also a number of nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy World War II. He retired in 1962 from the Acme Supermarkets where he worked for 26 years. He was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge 1951 where he was a past Exhaulted Ruler, also a member of the Salisbury American Legion Post 459. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev.
