Hardesty, 79, of 44 North Arlington, Akron, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 30, 1984, at Pimpkin Mercy Hospital, Louisville, Ohio. Born in Jennings, Garrett County, Md., she was a daughter of the late Marvin Ryman and Anna (Hayes) Ryman. She was preceded in death by her husband, I. Elonzo Hardesty in 1970 and by a daughter, Emma Crane. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Akron and was a former owner and operator of a music store in Meyersdale. Surviving are a stepson, Guy Hardesty, Springs; a step-daughter, Mrs. Pearl Davis, Grantsville, Md.; a brother, Herman Ryman, Newaygo, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Hoover, Akron, with whom she resided; Mrs. Helena Woodward, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Mildred Gero, Louisville, Ohio; two grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and 22 stepgreat (sic) grandchildren. Services were conducted at the Newman Funeral Home by Pastor Carl Ladd. Interment Grantsville Cemetery. The Republic, June 7, 1984 [H0234]
