Harding, 75, Clarksville, formerly of Somerset Co., died May 9, 1987, in Washington Hospital following a two-week illness. Born Feb. 22, 1912, in Somerset Co., son of the late Michael and Lena (Albert) Harding. Survived by his wife, Anne M. (Pugh) Harding, whom he married Oct. 12, 1940; two sisters: Mrs. Joseph (Madeline) Korzi, Windber; and Mrs. Leo (Helen) Torquato, Cairnbrook. He was a mine chemist for the Gateway Coal Co. in Greene Co. Former employee of the Hillman Coal Co. in Jerome. Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Johnstown; a life member of Polish Falcons of America, Jerome. Member of AARP, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 35 and Waynesburg Moose Lodge, Waynesburg. Friends received Behm Funeral Home, Jefferson, Pa., 7-9 p.m. Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Pastor Chance Ickes officiating.
