  JOHN C. HARDWIG
  
    John C. Hardwig, 69, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Somerset, died May 30,
  1981, at Veterans Hospital of Pittsburgh.
    He was born May 4, 1912, in Pittsburgh, son of Frederick and Liberty
  Hardwig.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John C. Hardwig
  Jr.; three brothers an one sister.
    He is survived by his wife, Alice; and these children: Michael, Rockwood
  RD 3; Mrs. Dennis (Patricia) Pounds, Indiana, Pa.; and two grandchildren. 
  Also survived by one sister, Mrs. L. H. (Dolly) Wyble, of Lancaster.  He
  was a veteran of World War II, Fourth Armor Division.  He was a member of
  Veterans of Foreign Wars.
    Services were held at Beinhauer Funeral Home, West Liberty Ave.,
  Pittsburgh.  Interment, Rest Land Memorial Park, Monroeville.
