Hare, 74, died June 1, 1975, in Venice, Fla. He was born in Meyersdale, a son of Fred P. Hare Sr. and the late Ellen (Machin) Hare. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, a brother and a granddaughter. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. G. Eleanor Hare of Venice; two daughters, Mrs. Janice China of Seminole, Fla.; and Mrs. Janet Smith of Sarasota, Fla.; five grandchildren; his father of Somerset; two brothers, Frederick P. Hare Jr., of Ocean City, N.J.; and Jack Hare, Somerset; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Alice Reesman of Johnstown. He served with the navy during World War II, and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, American Legion NoVel Post 159, in Venice; Forty and Eight Association and Society of former special agents of Federal Bureau of Investigation. Funeral service was held Wednesday morning in Ewing Funeral Home, in Venice, Fla. Interment in Gulf Pines Memorial Park, Venice. Meyersdale Republic, June 5, 1975 [H0268]
